Kirsten made partnership in January 2022. Her main areas of responsibility include Tax, Anti-Financial Crime and Corporate M&As. She has advised on a number of cross-border transactions in diverse industry sectors. She is also actively involved in assisting clients in their compliance obligations on AML and CFT obligations
Recent Experience
- Advising Kindred Group plc on the acquisition of shares in Relax Gaming Group (a B2B iGaming supplier) at an implied valuation of up to EUR 320 million for 100 per cent of the shares on a cash free and debt free basis;
- Advising Apax Partners and Fortino Capital on the sale of Melita Group (one of the leading telecommunications operators in Malta) to EQT Infrastructure. Advisors to Melita Group on several matters and also to EQT Infrastructure subsequent to the sale.
- Advising large private equity company on the Maltese tax implications of several cross-border transactions.
- Reviewing AML procedures and risk assessments of large trustee and company services provider to highlight gaps and recommend changes and improvements.
